Helpful Information

New to therapy? Don't be afraid to ask the right questions. Always ask for a consultation. It will help you decide if you would like to begin an alliance with them. Ask for a few different consultations. Gauge whether or not you can see yourself revealing your story and that you feel comfortable and not judged. If you ever hear yourself saying, well, I've give it one more try, then it might be possible you're not trusting your intuition. After about 6-8 sessions if you haven't changed your perspective or any noticeable behavioral changes, ask yourself again if this is a good fit. People are shopping around a lot for a good fit and telling your story over and over isn't ideal and anxiety producing. However, it can take some time to find the ideal therapist.
